Field Guide / Sleep
Sleep
Sleep physiology, nighttime recovery and why the night matters for the next day.
About this category
Sleep is where a large part of hormonal and physical recovery takes place. Testosterone generally rises through the night and reaches its daily high around waking, which makes the night an input to the following morning rather than a separate topic.
These guides cover sleep architecture, the difference between duration and quality, what disrupted sleep has been shown to do in controlled studies, and which nighttime nutrients have human research behind them.
None of it replaces medical assessment. If you suspect a sleep disorder such as sleep apnoea, that is a conversation for a clinician.

Guides in Sleep are being written now. In the meantime, the ingredients, science and testosterone pages cover the same ground in detail.
